What a year! So many great highlights in my guiding adventures on the Westfield and Deerfield river. Here are some great moments from the past season to get you pumped for the next one. Thanks again for supporting my love to teach others how to catch fish! See you on the river!
Spring brown trout on the EB!
Deerfield River Rainbow!
The Great Blue Heron in all his glory.
I love this bird. I see so many great blue herons on the Deerfield and the Westfield and it never gets old.
Another one in the net!
Rainbow Trout Tail
Sometimes its hard to know when to use a fly rod or a camera. I'd better use both.
The Muddler Minnow
A classic! This is a go to fly for me in the spring right after the snow melt is over and the hold over fish are cruising around the Deerfield. Big Flies = Big Fish.
Deerfield River HOG!
This was one of the best rainbows of the season. 22 inches and acrobatic as hell. This guy sure made us work for him!
Sunset on the Deerfield River
That moment when dusk sets in and you cant see your dry fly anymore on the water. Then you look up.
Fly Fishing Lesson on the Deerfield.
Its always so much fun watching someone catch their first trout on a fly rod. Good times.
Catching Tigers in the Adirondacks. To much fun.
Westfield River Rainbow
What A Stonefly!
Sucker fish are found in the Deerfield River and all through the Swift river in Belchertown MA. The average hitting the 20 inch mark these brusers fight like trains and are a lot of fun to catch when the trout are being snooty eaters.
I love fishing in the winter. December can be a challenging month to catch fish but it offers some of the most peaceful fishing I've ever experienced.
Grandfather Brook Trout!
This has got to go down as one of the most beautiful brook trout I have ever caught. What a fish!
2016 Guide Highlights
This was one to remember. I started guiding on the Swift River and booked several custom trips further north. Lots of fish! Here is a small selection of the all the river joy! Book a trip and see what fly fishing is like in New England.

Eric, killing it on the EB. First trout on the fly... Not to shabby.
Gorgeous fish on the Swift river. Fish small, fish local.
